On the morning of Wednesday, 27 May 2026, and in the presence and participation of Bishop Bruno Varriano, Patriarchal Vicar for the Latins in Cyprus, the priests gathered at the Vicariate building to pray together.
Brother Carlos Sartin also gave a presentation on the virtues that characterized the life of Saint Francis of Assisi and the spirituality upon which the Franciscan Order was founded.
Afterwards, Fr. Maroun Harb joined us via Zoom from Rome. He is a specialist in Canon Law, and he presented and discussed the possibility of establishing a Catholic ecclesiastical tribunal in Cyprus.
During the meeting, Bishop Varriano listened to a detailed presentation from the parish priests about the nature of pastoral ministry and the various pastoral activities carried out in each parish. Some pastoral matters were also raised, and several pending issues concerning pastoral ministry in some parishes were addressed.
